Autofluorescenční spektroskopie plicní tkáně
Votruba, J. ; Zavadil, Jiří ; Javorský, Stanislav ; Kostka, František ; Klimtová, E. ; Brůha, T.
In-vivo investigation of bronchial tissue by autofluorescence (AF) spectroscopy is reported. The study demonstrates differences of both the spectral shape and of signal intensity in photoluminescence spectra emitted from tissue affected by carcinoma as compared to healthy bronchial mucosa. It turns out that point measurements of AF spectra significantly increase the diagnostic utility of the AF method in discrimination of malignant and benign tissue as compared to commercial AF imaging systems.
Lidská spontanní emise fotonu v průběhu 24 hodin
Cifra, Michal ; Van Wijk, E. ; Van Wijk, R.
Ultra-weak spontaneous photon emission in visible range from palms and hands of dark-accommodated subjects has been measured every two hours in 5 experiments in the course of 24 hours by means of low-noise photomultiplier. Dorsal sides of the hands show higher fluctuations of photon emission intensity than palmar sides. Cycles of fluctuations of the 1 day, 6-8 hours and 3-4 hours long period have been observed from Fourier analysis of the measured data.

The contribution presents results of the research of an optical glucose sensor. The detection of oxygen depletion caused by glucose oxidation under glucoseoxidase catalysis was used in the glucose sensors. Fluorescence quenching of ruthenium complexes by oxygen was used for the oxygen detection. The complexes and enzyme were immobilized in inorganic-organic ORMOCER membranes. Developed fiber-optic sensors enable to detect glucose in concentrations up to 3 mmol/L and with response times of about 20s.
